Database Development and Access - Great Lakes Habitat Initiative

Database Development

On 18 May 04, President Bush signed Executive Order (EO) 13340. The EO established the Great Lakes Interagency Task Force, composed of Secretaries from the Departments of State, Army, Agriculture, Commerce, HUD, Homeland Security, Interior, Transportation, the ministrator of the EPA and the Chairman of the Council on Environmental Quality.

Database Access
* Interim access to projects entered in the Great Lakes Habitat Initiative (GLHI) database is available in Google Earth (KML), Shapefile, GIF, MDB, and PDF formats.
Access to the (latest) underlying GLHI database structure is available in HTML, GIF, and SQL formats.

Only a subset of fields collected are being disseminated at present.
Only projects with no access constraints (wide public distribution) are currently available.

Spatial datasets are updated immediately upon project entry.
All files are timestamped with date and time of last update.
