Overview

At the Great Lakes Commission's 2010 Annual Meeting, the Commission approved an action request to re-establish an Emergency Preparedness Task Force to review the status of preparedness and response programs for oil and hazardous materials spills in the Great Lakes---St. Lawrence River basin for the purpose of developing a report outlining recommendations for improving/enhancing the region's state of preparedness to protect Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River water quality. This report may in turn lead to a Great Lakes position statement that can be communicated to the federal governments later in 2011 or early 2012.

Under the "Attachments" tab on this page are a number of historical reports that may be of use to Task Force members.
